The start was pretty gloomy and it did not hook me at first, however a year later I found myself watching "Vikings" again and it was much more thrilling experience, what is easy to explain. The start was slow, first few episodes was too local for worldwide watcher, however it developed into an epic adventure which I could say was the best thing happened to me. I completely fell in love with the main character Ragnar who, in my opinion, is the key of this show to success. The show is full of everything and it does not mean that there are too much of something. That "Everything" is well weighted. There are not so much romance, still you can find deep passion in it. Action is just breath taking, probably the best fighting scenes that I have ever seen in a TV series and what is most important - the period as well as characters are wonderfully illustrated. If we compare this work with other historical TV SERIES, we could say that "Vikings" is historically accurate and you can just feel the spirit of the age of Vikings. While watching the show you will not have doubts to which historical period it belongs. To summer all up, this is a serious piece of art for people who admire it. Medieval period fans should start watching it without hesitation.
