I am surprised noone mentions the actress named unger or something like that playing the raped womans mom and daughters grandma. She is terrible and no way could be the mom as she looks the same age as the "daughter". But more disturbing is the actrress unger's weird lip issue.Some kind of plastic surgery gone wrong-lip puff up?? Its obvious and gross. Overload of botox in her upper lip ? hahahahahaha I mean she looks really creepy and sounds like a man.<br/><br/>The whole movie was silly and unreal and lousey.
I caught this on Netflix where it was retitled VENGEANCE somewhat for the better, because the original title is ridiculous. This is a rape revenge drama with a lot of courtroom scenes and a lot of emoting as a young mother is gang raped by a bunch of local thugs and her daughter witnesses the crime. The thugs are caught but hire slimy lawyer Don Johnson who successfully gets them off, although arresting Nicolas Cage won't stand for this kind of nonsense and decides to go outside of the law to get revenge. Yep, it's the same old kind of story which has already been shot dozens of times previously, and once again it plays out in a cliched and unsuccessful mannered here. Cage gives one of those monosyballic, near comatose performances that only he is capable of and is only interesting when he's shooting people while the rest of the cast are a bit too mannered and histrionic to make this feel real.
