  • Vagahill 2018 is a self supported run. You will experience trail for 40% of the course and a total elevation gain of 900m. 
  • The total length of the course is 26K (if you don't get lost).  You are free to run as many loops as you want. There are no shops on the route, so carry food or all stuff that you would need to cover the entire course.
  • Route will be marked with Orange ribbons. 
  • The route is not bare foot friendly.
  • This is not a race and there is no prize or rights for coming first.  The run is timed and results may be published, but it is only for educational & research purpose.
  • Start & Finish point is Moolamattom KSEB IB. Toilet facility is only available here.
  • Vagahill 2018 starts at 0630Hrs.
  • For those who have availed transport facility to the start, please make sure you reach at your designated boarding point on time. Buses will leave at 03:10 from ICICI Edapally, 03:25 from Maradu Kottaram & the one at Vytilla will leave at 03:25 also from the old bus stop towards Tripunithura at Vytilla Junction.
  • Bring your own hydration bag/bottle. Don’t have to be fancy, but a one litre pet bottle will do, but please bring some container. Every runner must carry their own hydration and fuel.
  • There are 3 aid stations at an approximate interval of 7 Kms where runners can fill up. 
  • Enerzal sachet will be provided in some aid stations. Please don’t throw the empty sachet or for that matter any non degradable items on the course. Carry it back with you and dispose it responsibly.
  • Light snacks have been arranged at second aid station (half way) and at the finish.
  • You will get a medal at the finish.
  • If it is raining, the run will be relatively easy on mind and body, but be prepared for hot weather and carry sun glasses and cap/bandana for protection from sun.
  • Make sure you carry water proof pouch for your mobile phones/cash.
  • There is no monsoon in the western ghats without leeches. Don’t panic and shout if it get stuck on you. High decibel screams are not going to detach the leech from the skin, but relax and apply a pinch of table salt to remove it. You could also look up the internet for various precautions you can take to avoid a bite.
