I have always questioned if that TV reporter ever apologized to Trivette. He dragged Trivette's name through the mud, making him look like he is a crooked Texas Ranger by even editing a tape making him look. If I was a producer, I would either have fired him or pulled his show. But Trivette was proved in the end to have been not guilty. After that we heard nothing from the reporter.
