Greetings from Lithuania.<br/><br/>Oh, my, God. What a game, What an adventure. "The Witcher III" is easily the best game not only in 2015, it is one of the few very best games i have ever played. To write about all ~100 hours + that i have played through till finishing the story would need more then 1 page, so i try to be short as possible.<br/><br/>Probably never before i was captivated by open world then in this game. It is huge. And i mean HUGE! There a tons of activities, and every one of them is interesting, it keeps you going further, explore and etc. Gameplay is outstanding. Fights are incredibly done, they are brutal, so as this world. Graphics are amazing. Music! What a score and especially during battles - great stuff. Voice acting was superb by all involved. Just to thing how much effort was put into creating every single thing and detail in this game is mind blowing. To be honest i wasn't a fan of "Witcher II", haven't even played the first one. But after finishing "Wild Hunt" i can safely say - count me in for (hopefuly) next installments. This is simply one of the very best games ever created.<br/><br/>Overall, "The Witcher III: Wild Hunt" is a masterpiece. I do not use this word usually, but in this case it is the one that perfectly summarize this experience. Own this game no matter what genres do you prefer - this is a perfect game for everyone. <br/><br/>Masterpiece.
I've been gaming since the mid eighties and before this, Skyrim was my favourite game. I still can't get my head around how much better this is than Skyrim. It borrows some of its ideas from Skyrim, sure, but those ideas are just the seasoning to what is an incredibley satisfying and delicious meal. They have done the impossible with the size of the world and the detail contained therein, as well as how visually spectacular it looks. Jaw dropping! There are a few too many cut scenes for my liking but you can skip through them if you want which is good. No other flaws that I can report! EASILY the best action RPG to date. When I say easily, nothing else is in the same league! It is absolutely untouchable. Speaking of the competition, Horizon Zero Dawn?? OMG What a total rip off of this game that was (just executed no where near as well!). I'm surprised CD Projekt Red didn't sue! This has been out for 3 years now and nothing since has come close to its depth, complexity, immersion and attention to detail. An unbelievable achievement technically and creatively. Truly breathtaking.
Yes, the game allows to play after the epilogue to deal with the secondary quests which have yet to be completed. However, the general state of the world will be the one before the last chapter of the game (i.e. you won't get to deal with the post-epilogue consequences of your choices while playing). Ciri is the daughter of Emhyr var Emreis, emperor of Nilfgaard, and of Pavetta, heiress to the throne of Cintra. She was raised by Geralt as an adoptive daughter of sort and trained in Kaer Morhen (although she was never submitted to the full witcher mutations). Yennefer also helped raising her, and so did Triss, Vesemir, Eskel and Lambert. All this is narrated in detail in Sapkowski's book saga. The game features three different playable epilogues, each one corresponding to a different outcome for Ciri, who candie, become empress or pursue the witcher path.
