A hapless chauffeur must take a comatose secret agent's place using his special gadget-laden tuxedo.
Jimmy Tong is just a lowly chauffeur for millionaire Clark Devlin, until Devlin has an accident that puts him in the hospital. Tong is sent back to fetch some things for Devlin and unknowingly tries on Devlin's tuxedo and finds that it gives extraordinary powers to anyone that dons the suit. This discovery thrusts Tong into world of international intrigue and espionage and pairs him with an inexperienced partner.
I'll get straight to the point. This is a terrible, terrible movie. Anyone with ANY love for good movies should stay well away. The reason I went to see this is simple. I really like Jackie Chan. No matter what you say about his American movies, like Rush Hour etc, he is always amazing to watch. Not so here. The producers decided to make it a little 'sci-fi' which doesn't work. Most of Chan's stunts are not all his own doing. You can 'see' the rope/string work throughout the entire movie. Wait...did I say 'entire' movie? What I MEANT to say is the approximately 6 minute of the movies where there is ANY action. The rest of it, which encompasses the dire script, is absolutely horrific. The dialogue is mind-numbing, and most of it is spoken by the highly irritating Jennifer Love Hewitt, doing what she does..er..best. Oh, and it's not funny, although the director probably thinks you should be laughing.

Stay away from this movie. My wife and I were sorely tempted to leave, but didn't only on the basis that we had paid. That's a very sad reason for staying.
How can you not love any movie with Jackie Chan in it. He has so much charisma and is so endearing. OK so maybe this is not one of his best movies but I did find Jackie Chan and Jennifer Love Hewitt working together adorable.

The movie was kooky, zany, ridiculous and a lot of fun all at the same time. It was something different, if not completely original but it felt fresh nonetheless. I would have no problem watching this again if it came on TV and I wanted to be entertained without having to worry about real world dramas. So throw your cares out the window and give The Tuxedo a chance to charm you.
Who writes this stuff, anyway? Does this not sound like utter gibberish? Surely, this film did not actually get made, did it? Yes, it did. I have seen it. But you, oh, fortunate one, don't have to. Consider yourself lucky.
