His wife Diane asks him to get rid of the "Tiki Man" a large tiki sculpture. Wayne refuses to get rid of it so he decides to restart the shrink ray and reduces the Tiki Man to pocket-size. However, after Wayne shrinks the Tiki Man the machine is accidentally activated and Wayne ends up shrinking himself and his brother Gordon. Meanwhile, when Gordon's wife Patty and Diane were going on a vacation they went back to the house when Patty suddenly realizes she forgot Mitch's medicine for his potassium deficiency. When they were about to leave, they decide to sneak into the attic and surprise the men, but the shrink ray is activated once again, and the ladies are shrunk as well. So the team must be very brave of disgusting household insects the size of dinosaurs and more in their biggest adventure to get their children's attention.
I imagine that if you're looking for harmless family fun, then "honey, We Shrunk Ourselves" would fit that bill. It's all right there in the title; someone's going to be shrunk and this time, it's the adults. <br/><br/>For me, it's another demon spawn of the Disney DTV sausage factory that was chugging along in the '90s. It's not so much the direction (whoa, Dean Cundey!) but the Disney sitcom script; one flat joke after the next. <br/><br/>It's hard to sit though and - well, it's best to skip.<br/><br/>4/10
I liked Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Honey I Blew Up the Kid and the Disneyland 3D attraction Honey I Shrunk the Audience, but I didn't like this film. And part of the reason why is because I found it unnecessary pretty much. I wanted to like it, but I found too many problems in order to enjoy it. That said it is not the worst sequel ever like Home Alone 4 or Superbabies:Baby Geniuses 2, and Rick Moranis does at least try hard to still maintain the likable character he created in the other movies. But really, it is strictly direct-to-DVD, and regrettably it isn't good really...at all. The problems primarily lie in the predictable story, the leaden direction, the repetitive gags and the awful script, while the rushed camera work, lacking acting(with exception of Moranis) and forgettable soundtrack don't help matters either. In conclusion, for me this was disappointing and not recommended. 2/10 Bethany Cox
Most likely. Rick Moranis is hardly working anymore, and it would be very surprising to see him return to the franchise. The fact that this film takes place eight years after Honey, I Blew Up The Kid, we can assume that both Amy and Nick by now are in their 20's, while Adam is 10. Of which, indicates that both Amy and Nick have already moved out of their parents' home and are making the best out of their own lives, maybe even working on their father's company, while still having contact with their parents and little brother.
