Several years later and into the next century there's a new breed of criminal terrorizing Gotham City but Bruce has kept his vow. Terry McGinnis, a teenager whose father was killed because he was going to expose criminal activities at the company that he works for which just happens to be Wayne Enterprises. Terry comes across Bruce as he was being beaten by some thugs, he takes him to the mansion and he discovers the Batcave and the Batsuit; he takes the suit to get the people who killed his father. Afterwards Bruce decides to make him the new Batman and train him.
At least 40 years after the "current" adventures of Batman and 20 years after Bruce Wayne retired from the role, his secret is discovered by troubled teen Terry McGinnis. After McGinnis' father is murdered by the man who took over Bruce Wayne's company, McGinnis dons a high-tech Bat suit that Wayne last used, creating a new hero for a future Gotham.
This show is awesome! I was afraid it wouldn't be good since there was going to be a new Batman. I thought it might be like when DC tried to change Superman's suit. But it's not! Way to go Warner Brothers!
While Bob Kane created [ or rather, CO-created Batman - Bill Finger deserves credit ] he had NO role in the creation of this series.<br/><br/>It is the work of Paul Dini, with designs by Canadian comic book artist Darwyn Cooke [ The New Frontier, Catwoman ], who actually worked on this BEFORE he broke into comics.<br/><br/>Will Friedle [ Terry ] is also the voice of Ron Stoppable on the Disney show KIM POSSIBLE. In one obviously-intended in-joke episode "The Fearless Ferret", Ron takes over the role of the "Fearless Ferret", a retired crime-fighter. He is played by Adam West, the whole thing is a spoof of the 60's Batman, but also an in-joke of Friedle replacing "Batman" again. I won't spoil the rest of it if you haven't seen the episode, and if not, why AREN'T you watching KP? Incidentally, Terry / Batman shows up in a few episodes of JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED, somewhat older. It gives some resolution to his life and has a few twists.<br/><br/>Hope this helped a few of you out.
Inque appears similar to Clayface with the ability to alter and shift her form.
