I know Billy well, and seeing this movie with anticipation it was easy to see why he is as he is now. A very decent and deserving fellow. Life is a lesson for good or bad, in this case, mostly bad, but so true, and being alone in brutish jail, surviving is king, and he did, the way he knew best, with fighting. Not much in the way of dialogue but just watching it, explains it.
I only meant to watch the first ten minutes, I ended up watching the lot. <br/><br/>Not too much dialogue, and what there is is mostly in Thai. So what? <br/><br/>If this film teaches one thing it&#39;s to stay clear of Heroin, especially in Thailand. Also (and I don&#39;t mind telling you this), I wouldn&#39;t last five minutes in a Bangkok jailhouse. <br/><br/>Be safe, kids. Keep it legal.
At once exhausting and astonishing, this no-holds-barred adaptation of British junkie-turned-pugilist Billy Moore’s Thai prison memoir is a big, bleeding feat of extreme cinema, given elevating human dimension by rising star Joe Cole’s ferociously physical lead performance.
