All of these reasons are connected with the low quality of work performed by your dentist that means wrong plumbing of the root canals. 1. Not complete plumbing of the root canal. Teeth before crowning must be depulped (the tooth pulp must be removed) and the root canals plumbed. They must be filled with plumbing material up to the root apex. If there is space above left unplumbed, it creates perfect conditions for infection development. Even 1-2 mm matters a lot.
2. Bad obturation of the root canals. Canal must be even plumbed fully up to the root apex but there may be pores and holes in the plumbing mass.
3. Perforation of the root canal wall. That means a hole that have not a natural structure. The only natural hole in tooth is placed on the root apex. The others may occur in the following processes:
- During the instrumental work on the root canals. The instrument may be put in the wrong direction and the hole will occur in the root wall.
- During the fixation of the peg in a root canal. When the technique of fixation is not kept properly.
4. The breach of the instrument in a root canal hole. If the technique of care about the instruments is not kept properly, they are of bad quality or the curves in canals are hard to operate in. It is impossible to drag the piece of broken instrument away, so the quality plumbing becomes impossible too.
