You may need to reboot your PC once after running System File Checker. Restart the computer after the installation and check. My husband Locked the taskbar but nothing has changed so I just unlocked it and logged off and still no change it still disappears. There are many excellent free tools at Sysinternals WhatsInStartUP - Free - This utility displays the list of all applications that are loaded automatically when Windows starts up. If I have any of those folders open, they replace the File Explorer icon on the task bar. You may try the following methods and check the status of the issue. But what caused it?? Boot the computer in safe mode. They disappear extremely fast. The problem occurs after the screensaver has been activated which is a pain.
These presets allow you to magnify various aspects of your desktop, including the taskbar icons. Hopefully they come up with a fix and not be butt heads about whose fault it is and pointing fingers at all the other people that have already made the screensavers. The Taskbar at the bottom of my desktop disappears on its own without a plausible reason.
