I love Sandra Cisneros writing. Its whimsical, observational, funny, and perfectly bilingual. My favorite story from this collection is Eleven (found on page 6). What they dont understand about birthdays and what they never tell you is that when youre eleven, youre also ten, and nine, and eight, and seven, and six, and five, and four, and three, and two, and one.
