PLOT: After a session of listening to the Starlight Girls practice the Holograms convince Jerrica to have a pool party. Pizzazz is still getting over her injuries from the car crash. She now has a new Siamese cat called Mad. The Misfits feel guilty because they have to leave Pizzazz because their called to a meeting by Haircourt. Since Pizzazz cant sing lead on the tour for the Misfits even though they dont like it Harcourt makes them audition a new lead singer. Clash blackmails them that if they let her audition she wont tell Pizzazz, but she still doesnt make the cut. And then in walks Leah Dyer aka BLAZE.During the party Synergy pulls Jerrica to the side and asks if she can play her something. Then something weird starts happening. Synergys color changes, the Jem Stars turn black and all this screeching music fills the air. But Jerrica seems to be caught up in the sound (rather hypnotized by it). Aja invites Tony (Anthony) for Shana. They get to know each other. Aja realizes that Craigs sister is Stormer. Then in walks Jerrica with half her hair dyed black, a cut out swimsuit, and black lip stick. Oooh edgy. They follow her in and just as shes about to change we get to be continued and it looks like the Holograms are hit by the same sensation of darkness.MY THOUGHTS: This issue gave me a lot of feelings on looks. The biggest thing was the way it left off with me dying to see what dark Jem looked like. The anticipation Ive felt ever seen I completed this issue is CRAZY! Darkness and role reversal is something I often like to play with in characters and I cant wait to see where Dark Jem, Aja, Shana, and Kimber go not only in looks but plot wise. Im extremely fascinated. Speaking of looks can I just say Jetta looks STUNNING, with her pin curls and the outfit is SHARP! Its interesting also to see a more punk version of Craig than in the original series and what looks like a heavier set Anthony Julian. RATING: 10 I think this story line has promise! And this was a great start! So far even as a original lover of the series from back in the day this comic has meet all my expectations and gone well beyond. Even though if I dont find issue 12 soon I think the wait is gonna kill me!
