I dont know if Im spoiled by being pretty selective with the comics I read or that I just dont really like superhero comics that much anymore, but I was not thrilled with this. When I was younger, Spidey was my favorite super hero, that is until Venom came along. I still really like a lot of the back and forth between the two and I think Venoms a really interesting character. I just cant get behind the constant reviewing of the plot in Spider-Mans thought bubbles, lazily written expository dialogue, and all around boring story-telling. The art is classic though and I loved to look at it, despite its sometimes overly cartoonish simplicity. In sum, I get that this is some classic stuff, but I didnt find it nearly as exciting as when I was a kid.
