Research respondents The respondents of the study are seminarians. These seminarians are composed off 112 boys both from the diocese of Tagbilaran and in Talibon.Respondents population and samplesRespondent’s Population SamplesPre-college 26 10 First year 18 12Second year 26 8Third year 22 15Fourth year 17 10Total 110 55 The sample size of this data is (55) seminarians. It was divided to get the total number per respondents. There are (26) pre-college seminarians,(18)first year seminarians,(26) second year seminarians,(22)third year seminarians, and (24) fourth year seminarians.Research instruments The researcher uses questionnaire for his research problem as his instrument in gathering the data. A questionnaire can easily be administered, less expensive, and can be administered to many respondents at same time. The researcher comes up to this kind of instrument because he can easily monitor his respondents and he can get easily the questionnaire from his respondents. The only thing so that the questionnaire will come back to the researcher is to keep on surveying his respondents. The researcher may give rewards to his respondents as an appetizer so that they will submit properly the given sets of questions. Research Procedures Data Gathering The research procedure of this data is about data gathering. Through tabulation the researcher was able to gather data for his topic. In gathering this data, the researcher gives questionnaire to his respondents. The purpose of this data tabulation, is to find the respondents answers the said given problem about the relevance of music practice of the seminarian of the immaculate heart of Mary seminary in the school year 2008-2009. The percentage of each respondents are classified as seminarians as respondent of the said topic.Data Treatment These are the statistical techniques that the researcher suggests to apply in the gathered data for analysis and interpretation.The formula Χ =∑fx Where : X= weighted arithmetic mean Fx= sum of all products of f and x where f is the frequency Of each score obtain.
