I saw Sharknado 2 at the movie theater on 8/21/14. The theater was full and the crowd loved the movie!! The crowd was laughing and clapping throughout the film. Part 2 was much better than the 1st. The opening credits were well done, cameos were cool, NYC was a great setting, All-star cast, & S2 delivered the laughs!! The theme songs were awesome!! Sharknado 2 garnered its theatrical release based on high Syfy Channel ratings (3.9 Million viewers).<br/><br/>Fin's chainsaw rivals Ash's in "Army of Darkness". The Asylum finally got a movie right!! April's circular saw arm is reminiscent of Cherry Darling's leg in "Planet Terror". Maybe The Asylum/ Syfy paid respect/ tribute to these camp/cult film favorites.<br/><br/>Sharknado 2 was fast paced and action-packed!! What made it great was the humor and style of the movie. As a New Yorker perhaps my opinion is biased, but I really enjoyed Sharknado 2: The Second One. Sharknado 3 was announced for a 2015 release. But the 2 main stars want a pay raise. Sharknado 3 wouldn't be the same w/o Tara Reid & Ian Ziering. The Asylum better get out their checkbooks!!!<br/><br/>I don't understand the negative reviews ... either they took the movie seriously or they have no sense of humor!!<br/><br/>Memorable scenes include: the subway, Citifield, and Ellis Island.<br/><br/>Bravo for the second Sharknado!!
Sharknado 2: The Second One What a complete show of brilliance! When sequels nowadays have generally been written off as cash cows then kicked, fallen & pushed to the wayside along with their very soul. The main protagonist's beating heart counted for nothing, he felt his inner strength and rose! I must say this complete cold water slap to the gills has made not only me believe in humanity again, but, also given me the belief in myself to know what to do in a frenzied Shark attack. Things to look out for: AIRPLANE Pilots, TAXI Drivers, Doctor's who can fix ACHY, BREAKY HEARTS and how out of shape is Copperhead from the Viper Squad getting btw..?
Having survived last year's sharknado in Los Angeles and written a book about the experience, April Wexler (<a href="/name/nm0005346/">Tara Reid</a>) and Finley "Fin" Shepard (<a href="/name/nm0005575/">Ian Ziering</a>) are on a flight to New York City to attend a book signing when their airplane is caught in another sharknado, killing the pilots and forcing Fin to land the plane himself. As Fin begins to blow up the tanks, the connection suddenly detaches, forcing Skye to reattach and hold them together. The tanks explode, killing Skye and sucking Fin into the storm where he is gobbled up whole by a falling shark. He uses his chainsaw to cut himself out. The explosion successfully breaks up the tornadoes, and people on the ground start killing the falling sharks with shovels, machetes, chain saws, pitchforks, machine guns, pick axes, and flame throwers. Fin surfs on the back of a shark that gets impaled on the building tower. He climbs down to April and, while looking for a weapon, notices April's hand, still holding a gun and hanging out of one of the shark's mouths. He retrieves the dead hand, takes the ring off its finger, and asks April to marry him—again. She agrees. In the final scene, a delivery truck carrying fireworks explodes, shooting fireworks all over Manhattan. "I love New York," Fin comments. There is no real reason for anyone to go hunting for the Blu-ray disc release if they have the TV version anyway. However, the extensive bonus footage, which illustrates the enthusiasm of the producers nicely, can be recommended to anyone interested. a5c7b9f00b
