Job Title: Senior Java Developer

CANDIDATE PROFILE REQUIREMENT
· Proficient in object-oriented development, design pattern use.
· Senior knowledge and experience with Java using high throughput transactions with low latency. Polyglot experience beneficial.
· Strong background in Core Java, Spring, Hibernate, Message Queue systems, REST WebService.
· Excellent understanding of and experience with Relational Database concept, design and high-performance SQL.
· Solid all-round development experience with highly available and resilient real time systems.
· Innovate our development and optimise performance.
· Experienced in Git/SVN, Maven/Gradle, Junit, TCP/IP.
· In depth know-how of eliminating GC, JVM pauses, and design patterns for scalable architectures.
· Strong software architecture and design skills.
· Data streaming using a variety of technologies, message queues, and protocols.
· Implementing technical designs, test harnesses, and code reviews.
· Team lead ability, proactive, and hard working.
· Strong mathematical ability and analytic problem solving skills.
· Robust personality and strong teamwork skills.
· Ability to manage pressure and deadlines, a flexible, amicable personality.
· Preferable studies or experience from any Engineering discipline.
· Fluency in English is mandatory.
· Linux experience is a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Design and develop real-time mission critical code to meet complex, changing requirements with solid architecture.
· Implementing a variety of software projects across the business from trading systems to other internal platforms.
· Work on core trading systems development projects and support, maintain, redesign existing projects.
· Participate in JAD and RAD activities with key stakeholders.
· Use modern software tools.
· Participate in gathering requests from stakeholders, high level requirements specifications.
· Engage in regular departmental meetings with the CTO and other developers.
· Working in an agile environment with a variety of practices (scrum sprint, pairing, etc.).
· Building, testing, and deployment of software projects from libraries to full packages.
· Code reviews and refactoring for efficiency.
