When Mystery, Inc. are guests of honor at the grand opening of the Coolsville Museum of Criminology, a masked villain shows up and creates havoc before stealing the costumes of the gang's most notorious villains: Black Knight Ghost, Pterodactyl Ghost and Tar Monster. Could it be that their nemesis, mad scientist Jonathan Jacobo has returned and is trying to recreate their deadliest enemies? Velma has a crush on the museum curator Patrick Wisely despite her fears of intimacy but why is he acting so suspicious? The Mystery Gang is hard pressed to succeed this time, since annoying television reporter Heather Jasper-Howe insists they are buffoons.
The Mystery Inc. gang must save Coolsville from an attack of past unmasked monsters brought to life by an evil masked figure trying to "unmask" the gang.
Well, Monsters Unleashed was a lot better than the original (Scooby Doo 3/10) but its still not as good as I hoped it would be. I grew up watching Scooby Doo like so many or people and I have always been a fan of the cartoon I just dislike the original movie that was a disaster, I enjoyed Monsters Unleashed it had more of the old school cartoon tone to the movie and that I enjoyed and it also had some cool monsters etc.. just like in the cartoon the Scooby gang works together they don&#39;t fight the whole damn movie like the first and it was kind of funny not super funny. Alicia Silverstone and Seth Green both had small parts in the movie but where both great for this film seeing familiar faces was pretty cool overall I thought it was a lot better than the last movie and this one is worth to check out, Oh and yes we still get more fart jokes...<br/><br/>If it does good at the box office I&#39;m sure we will see a part 3!
Scooby Doo 2 Monsters Unleashed is an awesome movie. I first saw it with my friends in Spring of 2004. Everyone loved it. It is an excellent comedy that I would recommend to everyone. The main reason why this movie was so cool was that it combined so many different genres into one movie. It had action, adventure, mystery, comedy, and family, all combined into one movie. I also like the way that they designed the graphics for Scooby Doo. Last, it was definitely an improvement from the original Scooby Doo movie. I just did not think that the original Scooby Doo was as good, but this Scooby Doo was really interesting. I know it is more for little kids, but the main thing that caught my attention was the comedy in this movie. I guarantee you will thing it is funny.
Looks like a Saturday morning cartoon (the characters all wear color-coded costumes) and unfortunately feels like one, too, with its thin characterizations, largely arbitrary action and feeble jokes.
