Frankly I must admit that I'm not a big anime fan and this was my first anime. But to my sweet surprise this is a very good and entertaining. This has everything that you can expect in a racing related movie. I was more astonished to find out that it took them 7 years and more than 100000 hand drawn pictures to complete this movie which only increased my appreciation for the movie.
Hey, I was over on Amazon.ca a few days ago, and I saw that 'Redline' was recommended for me. The cover looked interesting so I went over to YouTube and looked up the trailer. A few days passed, and I bought it. After finishing the film I have only one question.<br/><br/>Why didn't I order this earlier?<br/><br/>The story is decent (it's a race on a robot planet where the robots don't want them there.) All the characters have an AMAZING amount of character depth, personality and back story (yes, I know that's what depth is.) The animation is some of the best you will ever see coming from Japan, the acting is pretty good. Some of the actors didn't do perfect but since this gets so intense at times, it's unlikely you could act with the level of intensity needed. And the music is great! Oh, and did I mention there's a lot of toilet humor? At least in the English dub their is. Over all this is a fantastic film. I highly recommend buying it on Blu-ray.
