As sewing books go, its hard to imagine better. This one is full of patterns for childrent clothing that are both beautiful and functional for all seasons: warm and fresh dresses, shorts, skirts and shirts, but also an unisex (so rare these days) jacket. I like that some patterns come with a girl and a boy version and that the pictures prove that it is perfectly possible to use the same fabric for both.The style of the clothing - japanese inspired, but modern - seems almost minimalistic, which makes the book stand out in the retro-dominated children clothing sewing scene (at least here in Belgium - not that I dont like retro, but i also like variety).In addition, the images and drawings are gorgeous, the explanations and drawings of an outstanding clarity. The only drawback? While some of the clothes are made of jersey or linen, many use double gauze cotton. A lovely fabric, but somewhat harder to find on this continent (it is possible, but there isnt that much choice, it seems). I do believe that if people discover this book, the demand for it will automatically augment, so that this problem will eventuelly solve itself.
