Otherworld is used to its full potential, packed full of fun cameos and the return of some old favourites. Alan Davies art is as gorgeous as ever; its intensely detailed, making re-reads good fun.Theres plenty of little bits to like in this. Claremont has a lot of fun with the idea of alternate universe counterparts, and various characters get in on this. The all-male version of the X-Men is a cool idea (Im guessing the reference to Rogues counterpart as her was a typo, though) and theyre on-panel far too briefly. In my alternate perfect universe, someone would write them a spin-off, but alas, we dont live there.Unfortunately, the main bulk of the story ends up being pretty boring, the climax most of all. Theres a completely pointless moment with Saturnyne (Sat-Yr-9? Whatever.) that doesnt particularly serve the plot, and feels more like continuity for the sake of pleasing older readers. Ive never liked Omega Sentinel, or Sentinels in general to be honest (Ultimate X-Men aside), and theyre not interesting enough here to change my mind. (view spoiler)[ Meggans (hide spoiler)]
