I like this book! Of course, I seem to like a lot of the Music/Rock-themed books.This one features three main characters, Rachel Madison, a struggling to get noticed singer, and the record label executives Alec and Brooks. Years ago they men would on occasion share a female, But Brooks stopped the practice with Alec. Alec and Brooks had problems finding really top quality female singers who also looked like real women. So, they decided to hit some out-of-the-way bars and see if they could find better talent than what was presented to them at the office in downtown LA.Rachel is tending bar and getting an occasional song every once in a while. The two delicious out of place guys show up and sit off in the corner. She was going to go over to them, when her boss tells her the band for the evening did not show up. She needed to do a full set in about 10 minutes, perhaps less. She really knows how to sing and Alec and Brooks are sitting there with their mouths open. First, she is gorgeous and REAL, and second she can really sing well. They want to sign her immediately... or as soon as legal draws up the contract. Later, they have an employee call her at her home and set up a demo.Brooks winds up asking her out after bumping into her outside the record studio where she just recorded the demo. She had no idea they were the owners. Brooks takes her to the planetary observatory for a spectacular evening and then they wind up at Alecs house.
