مع أن الكتاب لا يتعدى كونه قراءة شخصية من قِبلها لأحداث التاريخ و لا يمكن اعتباره دراسة جادة لكثرة المغالطات اللغوية و البحثية و التاريخية و لكن الكتاب دمه خفيف و المرنيسي كاتبة ذكية و مشاكسة... أسلوب كتابتها مسلٍ و ممتع، و لذلك أحب القراءة لها رغم مخالفتي إياها الرأي في كثير من الأمور... فهي لا تنقد بناء على الحجج و الأدلة بقدر ما أن كلامها قائم على الخيال الخصب الذي تملكه في تفسير التاريخ... بيد أنها تثرثر كثيرا و تستطرد كثيرا حتى لتنسى عما كان موضوع الكلام... 0مثال صغير ترى المرنيسي أن المسؤولين الحاليين قد ترسخت في أذهانهم أحداث التاريخ و الخطب المحقِّرة للعامة كخطبة الحجاج مثلا و لذلك يعاملون العامة باحتقار؟ و هذا من أغرب ما أقرأه في حياتي... هل يُعقل في كتاب آخر أن يظهر أن سبب انتشار الفساد و الرشاوي في الأجهزة الإدارية و القضائية أيضا هو الذهنية الإسلامية!!! 0بأية حال المشاكسة ليست مرادفا للاقناع... هي مشاكسة و ليست مقنعة
