From deadbeat to baby daddy of the year.
On "Teen Mom," the mamas and their cute kids are the stars of the show.
But behind every "Teen Mom" is a dad, and MTV introduced the world to a handful of 'em.
Some are better than others: Many of the "Teen Mom" dads have done their best to be involved in their children's lives, while others (cough Adam Lind cough) have been notably absent. A few of the fathers have absolutely mastered the art of parenting — and the rest have a lot of work to do.
As the seventh season of "Teen Mom 2" carries on strong, here are all 18 fathers in "Teen Mom" casts one, two, and three — rounded up and ranked.
**Derek Underwood — the deceased father of Farrah Abraham's daughter, Sophia — is excluded from this ranking**
Unlike "Teen Mom OG" and "Teen Mom 2," "Teen Mom 3" only lasted one season — and Matt McCann might be the reason why.
The former drug addict is the father of Alex Sekella‘s daughter, Arabella. On the show, McCann was at the height of his addiction and plain awful to Sekella (let the above photo of McCann verbally abusing Sekella serve as a reminder).
When "Teen Mom 3" went off the air, McCann continued to avoid his parenting obligations to Arabella and married (and split up with) a woman named Lekota Koch, who gave birth to their son, Matt Jr.
As expected, McCann reportedly has zero involvement in Matt Jr.'s life as well. What a winner he is.
Devoin Austin is Briana Dejesus' baby daddy. The pair shared their daughter, Nova Star, before Austin dropped out of Nova's life all together. Austin maintained his on-again, off-again presence throughout the one season of "TM3" until he ultimately decided he couldn't bother visiting Nova because “they live, like, 45 minutes away from me."
OK, it's official. "Teen Mom 3" was the absolute worst.
"TM3" cast member Katie Yeager had a baby with her bad boy ex, Joey Maes. The parents of the adorable little girl Molli were engaged until Yeager accused her fiancé of abuse. Such a great guy.
Maes has since moved away from Wyoming and has successfully fathered three children with three different women.
To be fair, Jenelle Evans' Baby Daddy #1 never made it past Evans' "16 & Pregnant" episode. But Andrew Lewis is technically a "Teen Mom" dad because he fathered Evans' oldest son, Jace, who plays a huge role in "Teen Mom 2."
Lewis is completely absent from Jace's (and Jenelle's) life — which I guess is better than being abusive and awful? Hence, his #15 ranking.
Ugh. Adam Lind. Where to even start?
Let's not forget Lind is the guy who texted his baby mom, Chelsea Houska, "You fat stretch mark bitch ... tell me where and when to sign the rights over for that mistake" right after she had given birth to their daughter, Aubree.
Honestly, can I rank Houska's bomb ass dad Randy instead?
Sometimes I forget Ryan Edwards is even the father to Maci Bookout's son Bentley because his overbearing parents are more involved in Bentley's life than he is.
Sure, Edwards is "around" — but he hasn't matured an ounce since his "16 & Pregnant" season one debut. Bentley definitely deserves better.
Nathan Griffith is terrible to Evans... but I guess he's an OK dad to their son, Kaiser?
However, let me just say that Griffith will never rank higher than this ever because he is a total tool and I'm bitter AF that Evans chose to reproduce with him and not KEIFFAH.
Jenelle Evans really picks 'em, doesn't she?
For Baby Dad #3, Evans chose to give the honor to David Eason, her latest fling. Evans' tall, bearded man was already the father to a little girl named Maryssa before he and Evans had their child together (a little cutie named Ensley Jolie, born on January 23).
Eason's behavior isn't atrocious... but he needs to stop interfering with Evans' already-tumultuous relationship with her mother, Barbara.
Did Gary Shirley deserve to be Amber Portwood's punching bag? No.
But does that mean Shirley now gets to use his eight-year-old daughter Leah to "get back" at Portwood? Also no.
After Portwood lost custody of Leah, Shirley quickly began abusing his full-time dad power. Even though he constantly denies Portwood time with her daughter for seemingly no reason at all, Shirley is still somehow better than the latest man in Portwood's life: a creepy sketch ball named Matt Baier, who allegedly has nine "secret" kids with multiple women.
Josh McKee is the three-time father to Mackenzie Douthit’s children: Gannon, Jaxie, and Broncs.
It's hard to say just how great of a father Josh McKee *really* is, considering "Teen Mom 3" hasn't been on the air since 2013. But McKee and Douthit married nearly four years ago and are reportedly still together, so McKee is clearly doing better than most of the men in the "Teen Mom" franchise.
Sure, Jeremy Calvert was kind to Leah Messer's twins, Aliannah and Aleeah, and even put a ring on Messer's finger. But after Calvert and Messer welcomed daughter Adalynn in 2013, things got messy.
The couple ultimately separated after three years, and they still haven't learned how to communicate as they attempt to co-parent their daughter. But at least Calvert isn't Matt McCann-level bad...
Jo Rivera has always had an up-and-down relationship with his baby mama, Kailyn Lowry.
(Remember when they used to live together in Rivera's childhood bedroom while Lowry was secretly dating her short-lived boo, Jordan Wenner? LOL)
But he gets major points for making it work with Lowry's (now ex) husband, Javi Marroquin, who always treated Rivera's son, Isaac, like his own.
Well, it's not like Taylor McKinney had major shoes to fill (remember, Ryan freakin' Edwards is Maci Bookout's first baby daddy).
But McKinney was able to live up to Bookout's expectations and become a wonderful father figure for her son, Bentley.
McKinney and Bookout wed this past October and now share two children, Jayde and Maverick.
Javi Marroquin is the father to Kailyn Lowry's second son, Lincoln, and he appears to be a stand-up guy.
Marroquin always acts maturely, even when his ex-wife makes her childish digs (she wouldn't even let him take Lincoln's car seat for a few hours so he could spend time with his son after serving months overseas).
Being a young father is tough. Being a young father to twins is also tough.
Being a young father to twins — and then finding out that one of them has a major disability — is beyond tough, and yet Corey Simms somehow manages it all.
Leah Messer is definitely lucky. Not many 20-year-old boys would step up and take on the challenges of raising not one, but two babies. But Simms did.
Even though Messer cheated on him literally days before their wedding (they have since separated) and she can't even bother to get her kids to school on time, Simms never lets Messer's behavior affect his grade-A parenting. He's always there for his little girls.
Like true parents, Tyler Baltierra and Caitlyn Lowell acted selflessly and made the decision to place their oldest daughter, Carly, up for adoption in 2009.
Baltierra worked hard to remain a presence in Carly's life while he also supported his now-wife, Lowell, as she experienced bouts of postpartum depression following the birth of their second daughter, Novalee.
Baltierra has proven his loyalty to his (not-so-conventional) family time and time again. What a man.
And in Chelsea Houska's case: What. An. Upgrade.
After years of trying to make things work with Adam Lind, the shining gem that is Cole DeBoer came into Houska's life at just the right time. He happily took on dad duties and treats Houska's daughter Aubree like a princess.
The couple married this past October and just welcomed their first child together — a baby boy named Watson — last week. IMO, DeBoer is as adorable as the pair's newborn baby.
Randy "Paparandlicious" Houska must be so happy for his daughter.
Not only is she the mother to her own baby (yes, Jenelle Evans), Babs also stepped up and took over as Jace's legal guardian when Evans refused to give up her partying.
So Babs = "Teen Mom" grandma, mother, and father. Such a boss.
She *also* squawked some incredible one-liners that will forever live on in "Teen Mom" franchise history, including "I hope ya have fun livin’ in the street with ya booooooyfriend!” and "I see ya with Kieffah!” Classics.
Long live Barbara Evans, the #1 Dad on "Teen Mom."

TEEN Mom dad Gary Shirley SNUBBED his baby mama Amber Portwood in a Mother's Day tribute post.
However, he praised his wife, Kristina, calling her a "role model."

Gary posted two sweet pics of his wife, Kristina, with their daughter Emilee, 6, and his daughter Leah, 12, who he shares with Amber, 29.
He captioned the snap: "Happy Mother’s Day to the ONE best MOM’s I know. You’re an amazing mother & stepmother. Know that you are way more than a stepmom! I couldn’t imagine doing this without you. Thanks for always being a great role model for our kiddos. You're my #mvp #happymothersday @kristina_shirley3."
Gary also gave a shout out to his sister-in-law, as he wrote: "@bmccance1 you're a great one as well. :) Last but not least, I wanna wish all the mom’s out there a happy Mother’s Day, they’re lots of you out there that sacrifice so much for children. You are not forgotten.
"Being a mom takes a lot. Long hours at work, coming home and teaching your kids, being a nurse, and the chef haha. Point is a mother is so much more than popping out a kid. So my hats off to all you mothers out there again Happy Mother’s Day. Ps, I hate grammar and typing so my apologies for any grammar issues. Ha."
Last month, Gary praised his wife Kristina for being able to balance “kids and responsibilities” after fans slammed his ex, Amber, for not being able to do the same.
Followers came after Amber for seeming to prioritize her schooling over her fixing her estranged relationship with her daughter, Leah, who is primarily in Gary and Kristina's care.
Kristina is step-mom to Gary’s daughter Leah and also mom to a 13-year-old daughter from a previous marriage and Emilee.
She's also going to school to become a registered medical assistant and plans on graduating in September.
Gary posted on Instagram: “She’s been going hard with school and studying and keeping up with the kids… she gets up at 4:45 AM Yikes!!! “My hat is off to all the parents who take care of their kids and responsibilities.”
Amber has two kids, Leah, with Gary, and son James, with her ex Andrew Glennon.
The situation between the family recently erupted when Leah mentioned not feeling a bond with her birth mother and slammed her for putting boyfriends before her throughout her life.
Gary told his wife on an episode: "Today I spoke with Amber and she said 'You and Kristina hinder my relationship with my daughter.' It's like all of a sudden, you want to do stuff with Leah.
"It's all of a sudden. After how long, you know?"
Kristina added: "It's like Leah wants to give up but you are the one encouraging it. And I support that. I also want her to have a relationship with her mom but I also want Amber to follow through and put Leah for once first.
"Leah is hurt and it all stems from the past. It stems from, you know, her going to prison, getting out of prison and she got with Matt and she pushed Leah to the side. Then comes back to Leah and gets with Andrew and then pushes Leah to the side, like."
Season 9 was filmed as the outbreak of coronavirus hit America.

Amber responded to the haters telling the “people just like” her, the ones who “have a really rough past and you’re at the point in your life where you’re trying to pick yourself back up and actually make something of yourself and do better in life,” to only focus on themselves.
The MTV star continued: “Opinions of people who are just negative and ignorant, it doesn’t matter because the only opinion that really matters is yours. Knowing what you did wrong, picking yourself back up and then sitting there moving forward, that is something that’s the key to wisdom, honestly.”
