Like if you're gonna do it for the girls, do it for the guys too though. I'm fine with fanservice that skews both sexes. It's only fair manservice gets done too.
I was gonna mention the guys too, but some of them are semi nude already, like kano, johnny, geras, kotal and shao kahn. I just thought it would be an obvious statement.
Ehh yeah but being shirtless alone isn't really enough, they'd have to like wear tight bulge emphasizing leather pants complete with jiggle physics or something. I feel it'd be better to ask some of the women on the board here for their input on what would suffice as good fanservice.

Well, when it comes to sex appeal, I think it just works differently with both sexes.
Women like buff guys, therefore men are shown shirtless, because the upper half of their body is where all the attention is.
Whereas with toned women, men like to pay attention to their whole body, so showing a bit of everything makes sense. Remember that men are visual creatures.
I work with majority women in my area, and they definitely pay attention to more than just the upper body lol. You're right though about sex appeal being different though.

I'm arguing that a game with ultra violence, language and a history of scantily clad fighters should have no issue showing nudity in story mode when many other triple A games ranging from Assassins Creed to God of War 3 have plenty of it.
So what value would it add to the story? Donβt get me wrong man, I love seeing a nice pair of t******, but the naked women in God of War 3 added what? It wasnβt so out of place for God of War, but MK has been going for 25 years and has never had it. Seems like it would be out of place to add it now.
What value does any of the ultra violence add to the story? Just like nudity, nothing, but they still added it.
The violence leads to submission, death, and the advancement of the story. Seeing boobies doesn't push the story forward.
Why should MK add nudity after 25 years?
