Master Tag Alert Bot is the Notification Center we miss from Telegram

Telegram introduced a “@” badge to jump to recent messages in which we’ve been tagged or replied to, but that is not enough! We were all demanding a sort of “Notification Center”, and were quite disappointed. Fortunately, “there’s a bot for that”!

Telegram recently added a new function to all its clients: when someone mentions you or replies to one of your messages in a group, you get a new “@” badge inside the chat. Similar to the small arrow we all are familiar with, the “@” allows a simple navigation through the messages that generated these notifications.

The “@” in fact disappears as soon as you scroll through the chat, and in a moment all your notifications are gone forever! 

The same happens if you leave the chat planning to come back later. You may want to resume from where you were reading, but you won't find the "@" anymore.

And what if you write something in the chat - eg. as a reply to one of the first mentions? The screen will scroll down to the end of the chat and all your notifications will be set all as read! And what about all the other mentions? Well, you have to scroll the chat in search of them! Smart move Telegram!

There’s a bot for that!

At this awkward juncture, a convenient bot meets our needs. Directly from Master Tag Alert Bot’s guide:

Thanks to me, it will be easy for you to track the messages you're tagged in or replied to; and you can choose to be notified immediately or only after a while being offline.

In addition, I can also follow #hashtags and specific keywords you may be interested in, notifying you when they're used in your chats, not to miss any update!

In short, MTAB collects all your mentions (tags & replies) and presents all them conveniently in one single place. So you see that not only we have the "notification", but the "center", too. 😉

In addition, may you want to "follow" specific #hashtags or keywords, MTAB will track them for you - as well as groups' pinned messages. You'll find all them listed in private chat with the bot - without receiving a single notification if you don't want to be bothered.

THIS is a - really advanced and customizable - Notification Center! Or at least, the closest thing to it we can get from Telegram at this time.
