Macgyver is an enigmatic loner who often finds himself working for an organization called the Phoenix Foundation, the government, or a friend in need. He encounters all types of dangers and escapes from them not with weapons, but with his ability to create gadgets out of everyday objects. His enemies range from militant drug lords and dictators to racist store owners. No matter what he's up against, Macgyver can always defeat his foes with his cunning and his skill.
Macgyver is a secret agent with a difference. He is quiet, mild mannered, deeply principled and refuses to carry a gun on his missions. Fortunately, the last detail is unimportant when compared to his astounding mind. Drawing on a vast practical knowledge of science, Macgyver is able to make use of any mundane materials around him to create unorthodox solutions to any problem he faces. The enemies of world peace and justice continually learn that underestimating this man is a fatal mistake for their plans.
MacGyver is the magic man. He can make anything happen with duct tape, paper clips, and a swiss army knife. The ladies all swoon for this thinking man's super agent. He is the most awesome nerd of them all and this is his revenge. Listen as his synth theme burns into your brain. Watch as his eighties hair sticks up in several directions. Feel the down home logic spin into your mind. The main theme of this show is one that everyone can like. You don't need big elaborate plans if you simply have the knowledge to use your surroundings to your advantage. While there are some unlikely scenarios and the show did weaken considerably in later seasons, MacGyver at it's best showcased the importance of being resourceful.
MacGyver is the best tv series ever !! Richard Dean Anderson perfectly portrayed his character. The music is wonderful (thanks to Randy Edelman) and the story is great. The show is funny, against guns, interesting, it learn people some science stuff, and show us a lot of gadgets everyone can easily make. If you've never seen the show, just watch one episode,(it's the best advertising) and you will never able to give up. In the last tv movie, a spy from the CIA asked MacGyver, in the latest minutes of the show: "You never give up, do you ?" and he answered: "Well I guess it just wasn't meant to be".
