Cyber wicca é o conjunto de práticas wiccanas que se relaciona com a tecnologia. Algumas ideias desse livro são muito boas para quem precisa adaptar suas celebrações, altares, etc, seja por espaço, tempo, falta de algum material ou qualquer outro motivo. Sim, algumas ideias são realmente boas. Mas a maioria das coisas nesse livro me parecem ridiculamente fora de qualquer definição de paganismo. Penso que um dos maiores motivos para termos tanta adesão ao paganismo nos dias de hoje é justamente o retorno às origens, à terra, à natureza e aos ancestrais. Não consigo entender porque alguém que se diz wiccano gostaria de prescindir disso, a não ser que seja extremamente necessário. Eu entendo que nos dias de hoje, quase ninguém que tenha acesso a tecnologia consiga ficar sem ela, mesmo que minimamente, e entendo também que a internet e os computadores nos trouxeram muitas coisas boas, e facilidades para a vida pessoal, profissional e mágica. Fóruns de discussão sobre o paganismo, alguns grupos do facebook, canais no YouTube, entre outros, tem ajudado muitos novos pagãos a encontrarem outros mais experientes para dividir aprendizado. Mas para mim, sinceramente, coisas como substituir a vela ou fogueira de um ritual pelo farol de seu carro (!) ou usar o ar-condicionado como representante do elemento ar no círculo, além de feitiços utilizando cartões de memória, e invocações dos Deuses Hardware, ou Placa mãe, ou da Deusa Web me parecem ir um pouco longe demais. Talvez eu seja naturalista e intransigente demais, mas às minhas práticas wiccanas esse livro não acrescentou muita coisa, e se alguém me dissesse que concordou plenamente com essa tradição eu provavelmente duvidaria da sua capacidade de discernimento e entendimento da religião.
