The Standard, Huruvalhi Maldives is a minute seaplane journey from Male International Airport or a minute domestic flight to Dharavandhoo Domestic Airport followed by a minute speedboat ride to the resort. We have just returned from a 4 night stay in a Lagoon Overwater villa and loved every second of our time at The Standard. Resort is beautiful, food was delicious and the staff were excellent. The place is peaceful and the staff was very friendly food was excellent specially the dinner and First thing to say about this resort is the staff. They are not being very friendly just because of their job, This the way they are. Thank you very much for wonderful hospitality. Amazing experience from start to finish, incredible staff, divine fine dining! This is an Amazing resort, friendly and genuine staff. Excellent food and nice winelist and great drinks. A true all-inclusive no hidden fees or exclusions. The beach was really good at some places and quite a lot of stones and corals at other locations. Snorking was quite good a lot of fishes, coral reef was dead at some places and better in other locations. Visibility was not good at first due to quite heavy winds but lot better at end of the stay when it was less windy. All in all I would highly recomment this resort! Every time we chose a different resort. This is the best place out of four for snorkelling and water sports. We took the evening trip and were very lucky to catch a lot of fish. The most amazing thing was the captain caught a nurse shark. Of course, we let him go free. I tried several resorts in Maldives , yet Emerald was one of the beat among them. I loved the water activities, gym, pool , tennis courts and other sports activities. In addition , the bicycles were great , using them through out the resort.. The resort is 45 minutes away from Male via a sea plain. The food 4 different restaurants and 2 cafes. Everything was included in the deal. The rooms and service exceeded my expectations. The food was amazing, the staff so lovely and the reef was truely beautiful. We had dolphins swim past our water villa, snorkelled with turtles and reef sharks and watched the most magical sunrises and sunsets. The all inclusive package is worth it for the value, as island prices are quite expensive, like all Maldivian resorts. Extremely friendly staff. The place is beautiful and the beaches and facilities of a very high standard. The food on offer was excellent and went above my expectations of a normal All inclusive resort.
