The room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. The meal was good. Appreciated having a small fridge for cool drinks. Hotel was as expected for this area and value was good. When I mentioned that my computer had just broken down she offered to drive me to the appropriate person to repair it and waited for me. She found out about the bus schedule and arranged for a moto to drive me on time to take my bus to Punta Cana airport. She offered to provide a meal in evening knowing I spent 4 Hours at the computer repair and in the morning ensured I am up on time with a nice cap of coffee before taking my bus. They took everything with the exception of my hotel key. They ran to the forest with my stolen possessions. I ran back to hotel Coco Loco fast. I came into the restaurant hoping to find help or someone who may had seen the 2 man earlier sitting at picnic table. The owner is a ruthless old wrinkle Swiss wrag. She speaks English as she wishes! Totally burnt from living in the village of Miches to long. No help or compassion, do not bother my clients. I lost, wallet, camera and miscelleanous. Inside the bus is one Austrian woman. Her second time in RD. She tells me last night, February 12 during the night a man walked in the cabin of a Swiss woman staying at hotel Coco Loco of Miches. The man shot 3 times in the ceiling with a revolver and robbed her of all. All of value to the robber. She was not sexually assaulted. The hotel Coco Loco complex is a set of some 8 separate cabins with a 2 storey building facing the ocean, it is the restaurant. Miches is NOT safe. I stayed at hotel Atabey. Locals claiming it is a very peaceful village. February 7 to 13, I stayed at hotel Atabey. Great staff and compassionate. Staff, in spite of incident claiming it is a very safe village!
