Je recommande fortement! On adore!! This apartment is absolutely beautiful! Perfect for a couple with everything you need and more as well as wonderfully decorated. It is down a quiet street though still close to the centre by an easy 5ish minute walk. They really made us feel at home. I strongly recommend it if you go to Houmt Souk. Perfect stay! Najoua was always in touch and she arranged for her son to pick us up and take us to Dar Aziz. We had no issues with communication and spoke in French. We found sweets, bread, jam, water and everything we needed to cook, like salt, oil, garlic, onion, etc! Najoua has everything covered! The wifi is perfect, ZERO complaints about it! Sami is a wonderful host who will drop everything to come out to fulfill the slightest request you might have. With Sami you feel like you have not a landlord but a close family frend. The rental consists of two large rooms plus a terrace w a comfy large hammock, surrounded by tilled land and a few scattered small buildings in traditional architecture amid palms, fig trees and other native plants, a -minute walk from a rustic beach. Exquisite sunsets. If you go in December, as we did, be prepared for the cold, the rooms have forced air heat but it never seems to overcome the chill. Kitchen has a 4-burner gas stove and small microwave but no oven, good for bkfast or snacks but not adequate for elaborate meals. Very rapid internet connection. Sami lent us a portable phone for our stay, and will eagerly provide anything you can think of to make your stay more enjoyable. Until we involved airbnb support and threatened to cancel, then suddenly we got a reply, an hour late after the set check-in time pm. This charming house is tucked away on a beautiful street in a neighborhood with plenty of winding alleyways, traditional doors, flowers, and street art. The house is clean and well-decorated - I spent half a day just lying on the sofa with the Mediterranean breeze coming through the windows, and sitting in the pleasant gardened outdoor area reading my book. The value was amazing for what you get. The home is private and much larger than you would expect. Myself and my girlfriend stayed for over a week and had another female friend come visit for two nights. The pool was amazing, you have ample privacy in the pool and the yard to do whatever you please which is critical as Djerba despite being a tourist place is fairly conservative compared to the capital Tunis. My girlfriend and I even had a water balloon fight which was super fun. Also the big balcony is amazing and there is another little balcony. Taxi: You can get a taxi off the main road easily and they are very honest and meter based. It was very cheap to get around. Alcohol: You can get at the Al Jazeera supermarket about mins away or the Carrefour on the way from the airport. Location: The road that connects the main road to the house is a dirt road and dark at night. A taxi will usually drop you off but not always. I recommend having a small flashlight. This may seem like a negative thing, but it means you have privacy in the house and it is quiet. The area also seems very safe and there is a mosque on the side road which means a safe road. Often I saw females walking alone even at night. There are several small shops within minutes walking. There is a fresh bread store on the main road, which was stellar. You are not far from the tourist zone and tourist activities so definitely rent Buggys, Quads, go to Djerba Explore museums, crocodile farm. The place so nicely decorated in the traditional style. We rented a car and in front you have a place to park you car that is only for this house. They even had washing power already. The kitchen has a full gas stove with oven, a microwave, full size refrigerator and dishes and plenty of pot and pans to cook with. The place has a vey large courtyard. And a outdoor shower, there is also a Covered well in the courtyard. There is fast internet in the unit , you have to buy a recharge from a local store. It was 25 dinar 12 dollars for the fast internet. I was able to watch videos no problem. There is tv there that has Satellite tv as well. The price!!!!!! You can not beat it. From the moment we arrived we met amines baba father at a local cafe, collected the keys and then were given a ride to the apartment where we met Amines lovely niece, Nahawend. Amines family went out of their way from the start of our trip to seamlessly arrange accommodations for us, when an unexpected guest arrived with his family very sick, and in search of refuge, amines family offered to house them days before our arrival Not only did their family give to someone in need, but they also arranged for us to stay in another hotel. This was done so seamlessly that we did not realize the hotel room did not match the photos until we were fully checked in. The apartment was very clean, well kept, central, safe, and nicely decorated. We were checked in and then taken on a quick tour from babas friend, again out of the kindness of our hosts, around central areas on the island, including recommended places, like the souk market. We did not spend much time in our apartment, as the real magic was in the human connections that formed in our brief two days on the gorgeous island. Дорога до моря кажется далёкой только в первые два дня. Для некоторых отдыхающих это являлось плюсом, дополнительная возможность прогуляться и размяться. С детьми предусмотрительно брали самокаты. Пляж мелкий белый песок. Аниматоры стараются, развлекают даже на пляже, предлагают бочче, волейбол, гимнастику. На пляже весьма достойный бар с террасой на втором этаже. Думаю в сезон это тусовочное место. Бесплатные напитки вода и газ вода, остальное за плату. Пляж от отеля хороший, в отличие от соседних пляжей, где народу видимо невидимо и, ко всему же, стоянки лошадей и верблюдов, здесь вполне свободно. У моря только русские и французы, арабы предпочитают бассейн у отеля. Кормили хорошо и разнообразно. Почти ежедневно был тунец в разных вариациях. Шефповар очень колоритный, как капитан корабля. В ресторане обслуживают официанты, не во всех пятизвездниках такое увидишь. Нужно быть аккуратнее с некоторыми блюдами и супами, очень острые. Для детей пицца, блинчики, яичница, молоко, йогурты, овощи, макарошки, но нужно смотреть без подливки, острая! Кофе и чай только утром, днём соки, газ. Арбуз и дыня ежедневно, были и другие фрукты в нарезке. Спиртное рекой. Вино на обед и ужин местного производства, весьма, кстати, достойное; французы научили виноделию, когда Тунис был французской колонией. Спиртного большой ассортимент. Пиво в баре у бассейна. Вечером виски, коктейли в баре холла. Там же для непьющих можно попросить чай перед сном. В ресторане всё прилично, все стоят в очереди, для меня это положительный момент, хуже если бы все лезли в одно блюдо. У отеля очень хороший бассейн, это отмечают все отдыхающие. Приятная релакс-музыка, хотя и без 'Мальчик хочет в Тамбов' не обошлось. У бассейна хорошая глубина, чтобы понырять и не выгоняют из ночного бассейна. На полдник в кафе у бассейна есть небольшие перекусы. Территория красиво озеленена, в дальних корпусах у фонтанчика гуляет селезень. Очень сильная команда анимации. Есть детская площадка. Хороший и большой детский клуб. Мои дети были в восторге от аквагрима, пижамной вечеринки с битвой подушками и детского аниматора Криса. Детей развлекаются с 10 до 12ч. Вечерняя анимация детям понравилась больше, чем в Турции, здесь как-то 'по-семейному', что-ли ' Днём предлагается гимнастика-йога на ковриках, степаэробика, аквааэробика, дартс, стрельба из лука, бильярд, маленький теннис, водное поло. Аниматоры очень пластичны и обучают танцам, обязательно возьмите уроки. На заднем дворе есть мини гольф, пошарпаный, конечно, но имеется. В будке аниматоров в наличии большая монополия и шахматы, можно засесть с компанией. Вечерняя анимация. Красивые фото для инстаграм на территории. Кальянная, кальяны можно выносить к бассейну. По безопасности всё нормально, почему-то подчёркивают, что экскурсии в сопровождении охраны, по-моему это только отталкивает. Отдыхающие из нашего отеля, причём пенсионного возраста выходили в вечерний город. Улицы освещены, недалеко от отеля огни, очевидно, ночного клуба. Мы мама и двое детей выходили за территорию в ТЦ, но покупать лучше в небольших 'стекляшках'. Стоит купить масла местного производства, ассортимент велик, вплоть до кактусового и, конечно же, оливковое. Очень дешёвые и красивые пляжные полотенца фута - традиционное тунисское полотенце , мы купили сразу, так как в отеле полотенца под депозит, да и носить на море махровые тяжелее. Отношение к русским доброжелательное, все пытаются разговаривать на нашем языке с английским делать нечего, вторым языком в стране считается французский. Местные очень размеренные, как и везде на островах, это нужно принимать и учитывать сразу, привыкшим к ускоренному темпу россиянам, необходимо замедляться, чтобы не портить себе отдых. Из недостатков, а недостатки есть во всём и всегда, просто нужно быть к ним подготовленными и тогда Ваш отдых ничего не испортит. Отель не новый! У нас в первый день была одна подушка и одно полотенце на троих, попросила, принесли. С полотенцами, надо сказать, большая проблема спасибо нашим соотечественникам - любителям отовариться в отелях , пляжные дают только по депозиту. Мы сразу купили через дорогу в магазинчиках красивые пляжные полотенца, дешевле, чем депозит, ещё и останутся, да и носить на море легче, чем тяжёлые махровые. По депозиту также пульт от телевизора. Не во всех номерах есть холодильники. Шампуни и гели в номер только за чаевые, опять же можно приобрести через дорогу, косметика местного производства очень ароматна опять же выйдет дешевле. Много арабов и они все курят и причём повсеместно, в холле, порой, 'дым коромыслом'. Всё перечислять не буду, для каждого предпочтения индивидуальны, я старалась видеть только плюсы. Также стоит знать про налог за пребывание в стране. Стоимость 3 динара в сутки. Оплатить сразу за все дни отпуска можно на ресепшн. Там же есть банкомат. Здесь же можно обменять доллары обязательно сохранять квитанцию. Обмен валюты есть в ТЦ в метрах слева от отеля через дорогу, там же имеется аптека. В самом торговом центре ассортимент побольше, но подороже и не торгуются, как в магазинчиках-стекляшках ближе к отелю. Для русских это только начинающий курорт, Тунис для всех россиян открыт только 4й год, раньше прямые перелёты были доступны только из Москвы, они ещё не знают как мы отдыхаем Относитесь ко всему с уважением и тогда люди будут желать создать для вас приятный отдых.
