Please help me to support beautiful junior idols in Japan!

It was my dream to go to Japan after I discovered these beautiful angels dancing and singing on Youtube only a few years ago. I went to University at the age of 30 and finally made my dream come true.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1WIWNdEeLA

Now, in the space of 1 year, I've been to over 40 junior idol music events, 4 photoshoots, and 2 fashion show events, as well as a number of adult idol events too. I've taken photos, often videoed the performances using a big camera tripod, and carefully organised and backed-up each event so I never lose the data.

My Twitter, where you can see what I've been getting up to lately:

https://twitter.com/perisiedw

I also spent the year categorising every active junior idol and model I could find into Twitter lists (I currently have 116 Twitter lists). With that information, I made a website that lets you click on any prefecture in Japan and see which child idols you can find there. There are around 500 girls and organisations listed there now, and I am continuing to update it and improve the site.

My website, where you can click on the map to view each prefecture, or browse my photo gallery, and more:

https://www.littleidols.net

Before I came to Japan, I discovered that my favorite junior idol group does livestreams on a website called Showroom. Although at first I was using Camtasia to record their shows, I found that some programmers had created a way to record directly from Showroom. On 11th November 2017 I started a YouTube channel to record and display these junior idol shows.

As of today, 12th April 2019, I have recorded, checked, edited and uploaded 3,500 videos, and the channel has accumulated 116,000 hits and 246,800 minutes (171 days) of watch-time.

It has been a tremendous amount of work, but it is something very special to me, and I think it will be special to the girls too one day when they can look back and see themselves in the past.

This Patreon is an open offer to you to help me to support junior idols in Japan.

I think it's important to let you know my financial situation briefly, and the fact is that I have spent everything I've ever earned on going to junior idol events and taking photos. I have absolutely nothing to spare, and am currently living in a semi-private hostel room. I worked full-time for the past year as a junior high school assistant teacher, and my next job contract commences next week.

Supporting me on Patreon will help me to do the following things:

1,500-3,000円
($13-$26)
Entry into a regular junior idol event.
Some are more expensive, some less. All require an additional 500円 ($4) drinks charge on top of the entry fee, which gives you a cup of beer.

Example: http://atygas.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-185.html

500-1,000円
($4-$8)
Cost of 30 or 60 seconds photographing one girl.
It depends on the group how much this costs. Usually I can only afford to purchase one or two of these. Sometimes, the event venue is super cool (like a beautiful hotel) and I've gone all-out and purchased 5x for one girl. Sometimes I've purchased 1x for each of the four or five girls in a group. Sometimes, I've wanted to photo girls from multiple different groups at the event! It can add up very, very quickly, and there have been times where I didn't even have enough money to make a purchase and still afford bus money to work for that week. I have walked 2.5 hours home from work on two occasions because of this, smiley face :)

Taking photos of the girls is the most important thing for me, and the main reason I am making this page. Any accumulated contribution of $8 per month will directly allow me to take photos of a girl.

Example: https://www.littleidols.net/gallery/2018/10/25/181020-g-collection

5,000-7,000円
($44-$60)
Entry into a junior idol photoshoot event.
These are 1hr30-2hr photoshoots in public places with a junior idol group. The girls change clothes a few times during it, and you walk to different locations in the area too. These prices vary, and I can only speak from my limited experience, as junior idol photoshoots are kind of rare, but they can really be awesome. Time is still pretty limited, especially if there are many photographers and many girls (each will only be given a small amount of time per girl per location in the shoot), but I think it's a great way to support the girls, get some wonderful shots in interesting locations and different clothing, and maybe get to know some of the girls a little better too.

Example: https://www.littleidols.net/gallery/2018/11/25/181028-part-2

5,000円
($44)
Entry into a junior model agency photoshoot.
These are shoots with idols or models either in a park or in a specially designed studio/house, for example it might have a room with a bed, a room like a school classroom. I have not yet been to one of these. I think you can pay $44 for a 'through' session, where you can photograph every girl, but I'm not sure if this is limited to 'group' photos rather than individual shots of each girl. I say this because the 2nd option in agency photoshoots is $44 for 30 minutes alone with a single girl of your choosing, slots permitting. I am new to Tokyo, so I've never had the opportunity to do this.

Example: https://ameblo.jp/irissession/entry-12451881349.html

4,000-4,500円
($40-44)
Cost of a more expensive event. Sometimes 'one man lives', where one girl hosts a major event with guests idols, large-scale birthday events, and other venues host more expensive events. The Shibuya Idol Theatre's bi-monthly junior idols event is $44 for a through ticket, and Yune's One Man Live is $40. I think drinks tickets are not required at these though.

Example 2: https://www.sakuraiyune.com/events/one-wanwanraibu-tasukuoto11saiseitansai

5,000円
($44)
Cost of travel to a public space / free event in a neighbouring prefecture.
Transport can be very expensive in Japan. There are several junior idol groups in the prefectures that neighbour Tokyo (you can see on my website). Since I am accustomed to travelling 2-3 hours to see my girls every week in the past, long journeys do not bother me at all. In fact, it's my passion to meet and photograph beautiful girls! Once things have calmed down a bit in Tokyo, I will definitely be trying to schedule visits to explore further-afield groups.

Thank you very much for reading all of this. I do hope you enjoy my photos, and hope that you would like to contribute to my ability to take more photos, visit more events, meet more girls, and take more videos!

Thank you all so very much.

Let's support beautiful girls forever!!!

Should be able to secure a dedicated solo photoshoot with a chosen girl every month.
Just a quick post to say that I'm hoping to finally be able to shoot Aichan at the end of this month, after she returns to the scene as Covid begins to die down here.
If you have any ideas for the shoot, feel free to send me a message!
Specifically ideas for posing and props would be useful. (You can send me photos as a reference, or just a description). Cheap things to buy, some sort of game to play, a mood or style to pursue, a pose you particularly like and have a good idea on how to tastefully reproduce, and so on. First thing that comes to mind is some bicycle cycling photos... or video if I'm lucky... Various dance/music is another idea (there's a cute Hatsune Miku song I have in mind, where the dance is just simply from side-to-side and turn around). Anyway, I'm waiting for your ideas!

Hello all! A few updates to the gallery once they get the go-ahead (gallery is locked until that time).
1. Two or three minor sets to put up.
3. A ton of miscellaneous photos from the last 1-2 years, probably I'll put them up with captions/writing. I wanna add writing to more of my gallery pages too sometime.
4. Screen record going through and talking about everything that I have.
5. Video going through everything I have offline (e.g. fliers, etc - there's a lot).
6. Put the YouTube channel back online.
Thank you for your support (hosting cost of cloud storage and website). Please enjoy the new photos once they go live! If you want a higher quality version of an image, just ask ^_^

Been a hard time. Next month I'm looking to start saving up for more photoshoots. On the list is Yuria, the girls from Akigadan, Runa from Shizuoka, Runa from Tochigi, and maybe Hiyori too.
Reason why I haven't updated the website is because I need to verify the photos with the manager before making them live. In the meantime, here's a preview.
Your money has been paying for the hosting costs of my 2 Dropbox accounts and website.
Will be re-making the YouTube account shortly.

Hello, I hope you have been enjoying the past month or two! Here's the latest news from my end.
The website has been down for a while but is now back up again. In the meantime I've been processing the latest photoshoots, so those should be uploaded shortly (Kotona, Yun/Runa, Aichan, some miscellaneous).
I purchased a used Sony a6000 mirrorless camera in a local Japanese store. It was listed as not having Japanese as a language, so it was a bit cheaper than you'd expect. It's an old camera (6 years old!!) but it's still a big step up from my Nikon with the dodgy autofocus. Lens is a used Sony OSS 50mm (at 70mm). I'm really glad I got something in time for some sexy Halloween shoots next month!
A new vlog will be up on the Youtube channel as soon as it renders ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDZheqc-3ob0R7sUHKtOxQA ). It's a complete mess of clips from the last few months. The most interesting is probably the last segment, where I visit a dance group doing a school sports day. The girls are all wearing their school gym wear and did various games and dances.
Thank you for your support, and come check out the website in a few days when I should have put up some Aichan photos and the rest. I think I will put the bulk of these behind a paywall for the first time, so please message me on here to bypass that!

We're wading through the hot and sticky rainy season of Japan into summer holiday which starts at the end of next week. The past two months have been alright, less large-scale music events and more photoshoots. I managed to get to a few of them.
The video thing is no-go at the moment, but not off the cards. I went with all my equipment but was only allowed to take shots. When next month's pay check comes I'm going to have to decide about buying a GoPro 8, which has 4k @ 60fps and otherworldly image stablization for around $350. I've been researching about cameras too, but you're looking at $2000 or more for a full modern camera set-up (for example the Sony a6400 or a6600 with the new Tamron 28-200, a cheap prime lens, and the $250 Osmo gimbal).
In the meantime, I'll be uploading some sets of Yun, Runa, Kotona, and a few miscellaneous things too. I've had another go at the website design, and future galleries should now load linearly and be displayed at an appropriate size on large desktop monitors. I was also surprised to see my latest vlog get 4,000 views, although of course the retention rate is very low, that's nice to see. Please check out the new images as they go live over the next week on https://www.littleidols.net/ and the vlog if you didn't already catch it at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpaZ25yNHfE&list=PLXgNDMeTqTn6TtlVZGNyFRXz60_El8V7O&index=1

There are not many! Live events went into lockdown after a while (I got to the last one at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68j40KIuflE ), at least in the Tokyo area. I was surprised the lockdown went on for so long, but it looks as though things will be re-opening rapidly in June. The Corona figures are extremely low in Japan, and although there was rumour that the government could move the start of school year to the summer (to coincide with the rest of the world), they decided that it is too hasty to make such an impactful decision. Although some schools have been chugging away as usual in the outer prefectures, I wonder if summer holiday will be cancelled for Tokyo now and we will work through it.
I've just uploaded a few photos to the website at https://www.littleidols.net/gallery . From February (2/1) onwards, that is an outdoors set with Chichan, a many-person model/music event organised by an agency, then three sets at a studio on the same day. You can see I got a couple of good shots, but it's a really steep learning curve. I learnt a lot of things from seeing what shots I was able to take in the various situations. In the future that means I can have better time management and better focus on getting what I want out of a session. This includes both social and technical aspects of posing and framing (for example, it's important to realise when a pose is great but that I need to move the girl somewhere completely different to get a better background. Getting "half good" shots isn't good enough).
Going forward I am still interested in asking to take video at the next s
