Eulalia AMABO#Politique
A one week seminar at IRIC which ends tomorrow has as central objective encouraging the respect of rights of all persons living within the territorial borders of Cameroon.
Human rights need to be respected and protected irrespective of the individual concerned. Be you a refugee, alleged criminal or a neutral person, basic human rights should be respected in the society.
It is within this context of awareness raising and updating contemporary knowledge on human rights that a one week forum was organized at the International Relations Institute of Cameroon, IRIC under the theme; “The fight against all forms of discrimination.”
The one week programme which started on Monday March 02 ends tomorrow Saturday 07, 2018 with participants proposing measures to be adopted for the respect of human rights in a civilized society.
Organised by the Yaounde School of Citizenship and Politics and the René Cassin Foundation in partnership with IRIC and the French Embassy, participants have been schooled on broad-based human rights modalities.
The long term goal is to realise a situation in which the rights of all are fully respected as stated by Hon. Vincent de Paul Emah Etoundi who is the brain behind the annual training initiative.
