Ian Francis

🗿🔳Ian Francis (born in 1979) is a British mixed-media artist, whose paintings, inspired by the visual style of modern computer games, often depict violent, urban scenes. 

Intricate in form and highly detailed, Ian Francis’ art is a mixture of abstraction and figuration, composed from the elements of both painting and drawing.

His work as being about “pornography and news reports from warzones rather than sex and death.”

His information-rich canvases, which often depict violent, urban scenes, contain both figurative and abstract elements—rendered in acrylic and oil, charcoal, and ink.
