How to mine in the official pool on a MacBook

Denis Matveev

Hi, everyone! Today I would like to share my experience on how to mine if you are using a MacBook.

Download the program

First of all, you need to download a mining program. The official wallet only allows you to mine on your own. For joint efforts you will need a different program, in our case it is Fabulous Panda Miner Mac OS X.

After the program has been downloaded and installed, a control box will pop up:

Window for joining the pool.

  1. Set up the pool – choose “Scrypt”
  2. Pool – type in the address of the pool: stratum+tcp://pool.mfcoin.net:3333
  3. Username – you need to register your own MFC wallet. You can download it on the official website. After you do it and get your MFC address, you should type it in the relevant field
  4. Password – in our case the pool password is 123456

Click "Save" to save all the settings.

Start mining

 Open the CPU Miner window.

And click “Start” in the right upper corner.

Is it working or not?

Go to the official website of the pool and check the tab Worker stats. Look for your address and check the statistics (how many blocks have been worked out). If the mining is in progress, everything is fine and you can expect your reward anytime soon.
