Figures from both sides discuss how the war began, how the Klingons were better prepared for war, how the Federation built their Starfleet, and how the war was fought from both the Federation and Klingon views. Robert April discusses building the USS Enterprise, Admiral Ramirez discusses building the Starfleet, Garth of Izar discusses his rise to fame, and the Klingon supreme warlord Kharn gives the Klingon view of the war.
Various retired leaders discuss their experiences of the Four Years War, a war between the Federation and the Klingons, and the build up to a battle at Axanar that caused a major turning point in the war.
Even Prelude to Axanar is fan based, could founded Independent short story it looks amazing. This is the way Star Trek movies should be. Even I like also J.J. Abrams Star Trek movies they are far away from the original feeling and idea of Star Trek. On the other hand Prelude to Axanar manage to bring original Star Trek universe back where it belongs, to fans. I only hope that Paramount could come closer to real fans of Star Trek fans and make this project to original Star Trek movie. They could finance this project as fan based movie and let it stay Independent project. Great story combined with great actors and beautiful CGI with the feeling of original Star Trek universe is something fans should get. I hope this project will get it finance and we some day will see a true Star Trek movie again on big screen.
One can look a pon the imitations to a story to attain the love and respect that said story receives over time. Not even star wars has the sophisticated fan base that star trek has. "To boldly go were no man has gone before". Those words, like a fine wine get more meaningful over time. To see what Alec Peters has accomplished with such a beloved property attests to the love we, as one people have on such a regarded story. Star Trek is in the rhelm of what's possible by us humans and it represents hope. This picture, I cant really call it a fan film because at this point, that label does not do this movie justice. I am a fan of star trek. Not one that dresses up or recites one liners. But a fan of what it represents. And Anaxar holds true to the Hope star trek gives me for our future. Awesome Job. Cant wait for the final story.
