Jackie Chan, an amateur archelogist, would prefer to quietly do his work for the local university, but fate has dealt another hand. That happens when he finds a shield containing a talisman is but the first of a dozen pursued by a criminal organization called The Dark Hand led a man called Valmont and guided by a spirit called Shendu. Against this Jackie, his niece Jade, and their uncle must cooperate with the secret law enforcement organization, Section 13, to oppose this threat. Along the way, our heroes must face wild dangers that will demand all of Jackie's skill in martial arts and his daring to overcome.
Jackie Chan and his extended family must fight a criminal organization for magic talismans that could release an evil spirit.
I'll be the first to admit that I thought this was a very bad idea when I'd first heard of it. I mean, a cartoon based on a celebrity? I laughed when I thought of Billy Baldwin Adventures. But thank the good heavens that the people behind this production know how to take a crappy concept and turn it into one of the better cartoons out there. The action is good and fast without looking ridiculous, the humor is pretty good, and the directing job is great. I also like the fact that Jacky Chan himself is not showboating. Most of the time, he actually gets his behind whupped and humiliated.
This show is very good, talented, funny. All of that! Jackie Chan is a great hero. Jade in the series is a great female hero. This cartoon shows originality, and the humor is very well written. The WB made this show look great. I think the animation is terrific!!!! Rock on Jackie!!

One piece of trivia states: "The masked luchador, El Toro Fuerte, prides himself at never removing his mask. Ironically enough, in every episode that has centered around El Toro, but not every episode in which he has appeared, El Toro loses/removes his mask.
