Took me forever to find this online and in the end my Mom grabbed this for me from Bahri and Sons Booksellers in New Delhi. Im super into frame-tales so discovering this was like hitting a gold mine.This 11th century collection of stories from earlier lost sources (notably the Brhatkatha) is fantastic stuff!!! Some of these stories filtered into the Panchatantra and Jataka tales for people who have a familiarity with South Asian folk tales. The tales also traveled west over the years and filtered into collections like the Arabian Nights. Cant say enough about the Tawney/Penzer edition - best footnotes ever...seriously.
