Just me and Babysitter is a Little Critter Book. This series of books was one of my favorites when I was a kid and integral to my process of learning to read. This one is about the main character describing how he is so good for the babysitter when his mom and dad are away. Its funny because it gives the reader the perspective of what a child finds to be good verses what the adult finds. For example the main character says that he doesnt fight at bed time, just goes right to sleep. However; the pictures show that to be not true. He doesnt go straight to bed, he stays up and watches tv. In fact he thinks hes been wonderful but when the parents come home they see an exhausted babysitter passed out on the couch and the children wide awake in front of the tv. So funny since I can definitely relate to it!
