firstly cool picture of Aya at the front. Secondly I loved this volume as it mainly contained my favourite character Issa! :DSo first chapter Hana ponders her secrets and Kojiros, there is a hilarious doodle of a theory one how Kojiro got all his injuries- Issa took him for a joy ride and fell : ) But Kojiro realizes that if he keeps dragging this out, he will have no place to go back to...Kojiro reveals to Hana that his brother and sister hate him because a) he is heir though he isnt the eldest because of the Cardinal Red Eye,b) He is from an imitation family- illegitimate andc) Their dad left with the imitation mother- Kojiros mother and they believe he will also turn out like his father. Hana then confesses to Kojiro that she cant stand they way they treat him. Hana gets insulted though when he doesnt seem to care, that she is worried, and that he thinks their home cant be a place to go to.There is a really cute moment, where Kojiro completely freaks out when Hana says goodbye, but he chickens out of telling her what he actually feels. He does decide to return home, for two weeks and clarify things. Everyone is very excited to see him, even his grandfather the king. Kojiro though explains he is returning to the human world, and even confesses that he is always around the target just doesnt want to take her soul yet. His grandfether says he is like his father and they have an argument. They settle it though, and it cuts to Issa in the Demon world visiting the Shirogane village he came from. As he is wlking there he runs into Aya, also trying to find the village. He feels guilty about leading Ren and Nade to Issa, and wants Issa to help Kojiro with them. But while theyre talking a figure jumps out of nowhere freaking out Aya. Its Chiharu, Issa little brother- adorable. Issa admits that his training isnt actually over, he is just visiting his father. He is only there for the day but Chiharu warns him today is not a good one to visit. Issa as usual ignores him and goes to the village anyway. There he is welcomed back and sees his father. They talk and Issa asks for more time, trying to tell him about meeting the prince and the fact they the royal family are hiding something, his father though scolds him and says he has failed. All his father thinks about is destroying the other clans, and he sent him to the human world because of the faster moon cycle. Issa has been being affected by the moon, but he never thought his father did this to him on purpose. Issa is locked in a building, on the night of a full moon but Chiharu goes to get help, in the form of Konoha. Aya floats through the walls to talk to Issa and he reveals that he is being punished and he is going to tell him why when Konoha breaks down the door. She tries to get Issa to go but he wont in case they get caught, Konoha reveals that she isnt scared of anything other than tonights moon so they both leave and Aya wonders whether he should tag along to. Konoha and Issa reach a shelter, but Issa insits she leaves. Konoha argues and reveals they are betrothed despite the age differences, but Issa says she should go anyway because he knows that being by his side is hard, after that time...The rest of that chapter and the next one are Issas child hood memories. Issa was always left out of things in the clan because he is cursed- on full moons instead of getting stronger, Issa became human! He doesn’t think as violently as the other members of his tribe but Konoha always stood up for him. But Issa started going to the same spot on full moon nights, because once he thought he saw his god there. He started training hard because when she was there he could see the full moon, and he wanted to be stronger before meeting that person. Konoha said she wanted to see her, so Issa once tried to bringher along. Konoha is hurt though because its obvious he cares more about the mysterious person than her, and yells that he cant do anything without her. This made Issa decide to talk to the woman but she was actually an angel! When she touched him he awakened and turned into a monster wolf, killing the angel. Issa was filled with guilt because he cant hear the singing anymore and he never wanted to kill the angel. His friends tried to take him on a moon hunt, and mentioned him killing the angel, and Issa flipped out and attacked them, Konoha stops him by covering his eyes so he cant see the full moon though. He doesnt need help anymore but Konoha knows he is sad, so they decide to go to a secret place for all the full moons. Issas grandfather decided he should be the next chief, and he should marry Konoha. In the present Konoha blames herself for Issas pain. Because she made him take her, and talk to her. After that she leaves Issa like he asked. But after a while some assholes form the village comeback, with Konoha, and demand that he comes out or theyll hurt her. They provoke Issa but Konoharu stays loyal to him and Issa realizes he didnt treat her well. So he comes out and goes all monster wolf and almost kills them. He stops himself though and runs before he hurts anyone. He realizes he was to afraid to admit he loved Konoha because he killed the last person he loved. Konoha folows and confronts him, calls him a coward, they argue . Issa though manages to overcome the moon, change back and almost kisses Konoha. They head back and the next day he talks to his father again. He is once again told to kill Kojiro, because it is the Sakura families fault Kaede, Issas mother, died. Issa says that once he has worked out the mystery he will kill him with his own hands! No, Issa dont be evil...As Issa is leaving, Konoha fails to tell him that he never killed the angel, she is still alive!
