Where has this group appeared to defend Earth against the enemy aliens? TEAM: Cynical colonel with Earth air combat experience and ability to control alien electronics. Check. Asperger-syndrome scientist (male) of many talents theoretically and in emergencies, re-discovers his humanity. Check. Warrior alien (male) from world fighting common enemy speaks little, thinks fast, and prefers action. Check. Female alien warrior queen rediscovers sensitivity. Check. Second scientist (female) --the identical character-- promoted to run operations base(!) Theme music re-orchestrated from trailer to forgettable flick Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.<br/><br/>So why is all this so good? It&#39;s the combination.
I have to say that I enjoy this program, maybe more than SG1. although the characters are not as good as SG1, you do learn to love them.<br/><br/>but on the side of the stories, i believe they are vastly superior than SG1. maybe its just the wraith or the fact that it is a real struggle to survive as even when the mission is over and you come back to Atlantis your still not safe. What ever it is, i think it is a great program and if your not willing to get into a series, then just watch the first two episodes on there own as they are good enough for a stand alone film.<br/><br/>But there is that &quot;theres something wrong/missing&quot; factor about the show that puts of a lot of people i know. I can simply say that the factor is the cameras as the choice in camera does not compliment the feel of the show and the styles of the sets. Apart from that, i can find nothing to fault the show.<br/><br/>so go watch it now.
