At Guesta Verde University, the deranged Professor Curien is trying to bring back the dead, killing students for the experiment. There is an outbreak of zombies at the campus, and the government sends an NSA medical research team, formed by Dr. Alexandra Morgan, a.k.a. Nightingale and lieutenant Ellis, with a special force led by lieutenant Dalton, to try to get the zero sample from the first-generation zombie. The team has a very short time to accomplish their mission and leave the place before missiles are sent to destroy the area. However, the place is crowded with hyper sapiens and the group has to fight to survive.
A virus breaks out at a university and people start to become zombies. After 29 days, a team of AMS scientists and soldiers are sent in to deal with the problem. But while they search, things go wrong.
I really enjoyed this film.It is much better than the first one that was directed by Uwe Boll . It had a good story line, quite good zombie effects and over all a brilliant directer. The script was nice and the special effects were not bad.I was on the edge of my set at all times.House of the dead 2 was more of a horror film ,when the first one was more of an action film.The acting was brilliant as far as i am concerned and i think it was a shame that this film did not appear in cinema.I gave this film a nine out of then because i enjoyed it but the last 20 minutes it was a bit dragged out.Anyone who is reading this comment should go out and buy this film if the have not watched it. But over all a brilliant film.
I used to work in a video store. I saw this title in the horror section and took it home as a free rental one night.<br/><br/>This movie was truly awful, there is no redeeming quality about it, because it actually takes a well respected sub genre of film and just goes about destroying it. If the first film wasn't low budget enough then this film truly takes the biscuit, being housed (mostly) indoors and at night...therefore avoiding the scenic cost setting of the first film In the first 5 minutes of this film a college lecturer comically runs over an attractive student. Rather than be mortified, the lecturer half heartedly apologises and the girl mentions that despite being thrown across the cars bonnet (he sped up as he approached her) that there is nothing to worry about...after which he attacks her with a crowbar and kills her! If this isn't strange enough, he wants to perform an experiment upon her, bringing her back from the dead....and so feels the need to remove her clothing to do so.<br/><br/>Soft core female nudity (and pubic hair) is rampant throughout the film and is, to be honest,the only real thing to hold the average male viewers interest...like the swimming scene in the first film...but even having said that this film goes from bad to worse with its bad character acting, crappy dialogue and absurd plot turns....why introduce a pivotal character who has survived 29 days from zombie attack only to kill them within 10 minutes....its just a very very bad film
