Sho Fukamachi, a normal teenager accidentally found an alien object called Unit and thus, changed his life forever. The Unit bonded with Sho, resulting a powerful fighting life form called Guyver.
With &quot;Guyver: The Bio-boosted Armor,&quot; the Japanese alien superhero is back and better than ever. As a fan of Yoshiki Takaya&#39;s Anime&#39; and Manga series, I feel that this latest update of his comic book creation is right where it&#39;s supposed to be: Excellence!<br/><br/>Right from the opening credits, &quot;Guyver&quot; hooks you and then pulls you in for some adrenalin-fueled ultra-violence as the eponymous alien armor bonds with high school student Sho, thus transforming him into the first Guyver, an armored being whose natural abilities have been enhanced to superhuman levels. Together with friend Tetsuro and Tetsuro&#39;s cute and demure sister Mizuki (who is also Sho&#39;s would-be love interest), they go about battling the evil Chronos Corporation, whose army of disposable shape-shifting mutants, called Zoanoids, become the series cannon fodder.<br/><br/>Anime&#39; fans have a reason to rejoice with this seriously revamped and pumped-up series. I just purchased volume two today and I wasn&#39;t disappointed; it was even better than the first set! Although I am getting ticked off with the whole &quot;four-episodes-a-disc&quot; gimmick, perhaps it&#39;s only to get you amped for the next set. A lot of Anime&#39; tends to do that.<br/><br/>10/10
Well folks, this is definitely what fans of Guyver deserve, greatness. Right from the opening credits to the preview for the next episode this show will please both fans of the original manga to newcomers alike.<br/><br/>WARNING: Possible SPOILERS : WARNING <br/><br/>The show follows high school student Sho and his friend Tetsuro as they continue to discover new things about the Guyver unit and try to evade capture and death from the Cronus cooperation. The Guyver unit is activated when Tetsuro and Sho discover the undamaged G-unit that was stolen from Chronos by a test Zananoid ( the monsters of the series ). The unit is activated by Sho when Tetsuro inspects the unit. The G-unit bonded with Sho when Tetsuro panics as the unit starts up and accidental throws it to Sho. :END SPOILERS: The show is very dark and violent as it should be. I can&#39;t wait until it comes out here in the states with hopes that Adult swim picks it up. 10 out of 10
