Batman and Robin of the 1960s live action series are back in action to take down their fiendish foes united once more against them.
Batman and Robin spring into action when Gotham City is threatened by Penguin, The Joker, Riddler and Catwoman. This time, the four super villains have combined their wicked talents to hatch a plot so nefarious that the Dynamic Duo really have their hands full.
It was good to hear Adam West, Burt Ward and Julie Newmar reprise their iconic characters for this feature length animated film. The actors don't sound all different to their time on the series.The animation strongly resembles the 1960s T.V show but the tone of this film is quite dark in places. Batman is a bit more angry and Adam West played the character from this angle effectively. We get the usual words flash across the screen during the fight scenes (of course) and there is still room for some humour as well. The pace rattles along well enough and the entertainment value is quite high.
*I Will Try Not to include spoilers but will notify you beforehand if I deem it necessary.<br/><br/>Overall: This movie was pure nostalgia for people who love the Adam West Batman. This movie was thoroughly entertaining but many audiences, particularly those who do not enjoy or at least feel nostalgic from the Adam West era of the Caped Crusader.<br/><br/>Good: ​It is very very well animated and the music is incredible and nostalgic. It is quite funny and there are numerous incredible jokes throughout the movie. It provides true fan service and that was clearly the main point. Voice acting is very well done with memories of Adam and Burt coming back! The onomatopoeia bubbles are back and provide nostalgia as well as comedy. The villains are great(it is batman after all!). A great joke for older audiences is placed in there that went past all children (and somehow the BBFC).<br/><br/>Bad: As a film it is more of a 6/10 because it&#39;s main goal was for fan service so emphasis on story was clearly left out as it follows a cheap path with &#39;unexpected turns&#39; that do nothing to amaze. The source of comedy comes in the form of nostalgia and can&#39;t be found for everyone. The third act felt forced and though it needed a climax could have been done much better.<br/><br/>Best Part: Act II<br/><br/>MVP: Adam WEST as BATMAN!<br/><br/>8/10
