Dominion is an epic supernatural drama set in the near future. Specifically, 25 years after "The Extinction War," when an army of lower angels, assembled by the archangel Gabriel, waged war against mankind. The archangel Michael, turning against his own kind, chose to side with humanity. Rising out of the ashes of this long battle are newly fortified cities which protect human survivors. At the center of the series is the city of Vega, a glistening empire that has formed from the ruins of what was once Las Vegas.
Follows the perilous journey of a rebellious young soldier who discovers he's the unlikely savior of humanity.
This series is a monster. Like the angels portrayed in it. Ugly, aggressive, pointy teeth - angels, really? The premise is a &quot;what if&quot; of monstrous proportions. This makebelief is one of horror, brought on us by angels, for the last three decades. Now I am willing to make a stretch to go along for a minute. But .. all I saw was distasteful, cheap horror and violence.<br/><br/>I am not a religious man at all. But the stories, the images of angels are part of our culture - which &quot;dominion&quot; tries to alter into something really bad. For me, this equals rape.<br/><br/>This series, like the movie &quot;Noah&quot;, is raping our cultural and religious heritage. It just should not have gotten approved.
I saw Legion and that movie was wonderful. This rendition stinks. They seem to be drawing in a lot more violence, other shows where angels were fighting and ripping hearts out (Gabriel played by Christopher Walkin, Andy Whitfield playing Gabriel in another was fantastic), Dune, etc. The story line in this one is confusing and all over the place. They even have the angel Gabriel this time dressed up like a comic hero and guns are being shot off all over the place. They can do better. Way better. I have nothing left to say but you seem to want more lines. I almost turned this show off four times as it was so bad but had promised to give it a good chance to prove itself. It failed in that department and just made me angry that once movie people see an idea that makes money they make a newer, they think better version that proves they should have left it as it was in the first place.
