It's almost as if they didn't even want to try with the plot writing on this one. The original was clever, sadistically humorous, and had a decent storyline. The sequel was just garbage. It's like the outtakes from the original stitched together into an incoherent mess. Was hoping for better.
Humour is great! Story is great! Script is great! Action scenes are great! Everything about this movie is great for me.
Deadpool 2, while extremely thin on plot, is gleefully impish, entertaining and often laugh-out-loud funny. Almost everything that felt forced, crass and hamfisted in the original film now feels organic and effortless; a constant breezy stream of gags, quips and expertly choreographed action. Deadpool 2 is filthier, funnier and ferociously manic.
