Data Business Analyst in Riga

Risk Focus is a NY-based firm that provides strategic IT consulting to global financial institutions. Our projects provide solutions, methodologies, and support guidance for projects that address and minimize risk in capital markets. We are seeking a business analyst who has experience implementing large projects in the Capital Markets industry to work on products (including Report-It.Trade) that involve the manipulatation of complex trade data.

Report-It.Trade is a suite of components that solve discrete issues related to Regulatory Trade Reporting that can be combined to offer a full end-to-end swaps reporting control framework. Validate.Trade, our flagship product that is already used by several global banks and the DTCC, applies an expensive rule set to each message to ensure accuracy and completeness, and is often used to optimize their development processes. Reportable.Trade is a Trade Reporting Eligibility Engine. Clients use this to ensure they are not breaching critical reporting requirements.

All candidates must have:

• A bachelor's degree in an analytic or technical field
• At least 5 years of business analyst experience
• Excellent data analysis skills with hands-on experience manipulating CSV and XML data
• Expertise using Excel, relational databases, SQL, and XML (including XPath and XSLT)
• Self-driven desire for acute attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Self-driven desire to continuously learn new technologies and skills, and solve tough problems
• Effective written and verbal English communication skills

Ideal candidates will also have:

• Experience in the Financial Industry in Regulatory Trade Reporting and FpML (Financial products Markup Language)
