The art... I will fully admit that I might not be as critical of the writing as I should be because the art is absolutely gorgeous. Im sorry, but I cant help it. Everyone and everything is so pretty. I want to drink Emanuela Lupacchinos lines like a pina colada on a Hawaiian beach. The Hi-Fi colours make it even more of an eyegasm.Okay. So the writing. Ill admit, the whole inexperienced Starfire doing what wed consider silly things is getting tiresome. I get that shes new to Earth and shes naive and doesnt know how things work here, but Conner and Palmiotti could do better in terms of making her a character you can respect as well as find adorably endearing. Its too much now and every page is about Starfire doing something she needs to be corrected for. And usually its by at least one of the numerous men who are fawning over her. Starfire is also a warrior on top of the big heart and the willingness to learn, and Id like to see more of her tough, capable side.Stella makes for a refreshing contrast to Kori as a more serious, professional character. Id like to see more of her and her interactions with Kori.The best part of this issue is the last section. Kori meets a waitress who ends up being more than what she seems.
