Creo firmemente que uno no encuentra los libros sino que los libros lo encuentran a uno. Y asГ­ fue como a travez del libro DF: Lecturas para paseantes supe de este libro que Elena Poniatowska habГ­a escrito a travГ©s de recopilar testimonios dentro de los tres primeros meses despuГ©s del terremoto del 85 en la ciudad de MГ©xico. A diferencia de algunos otros libros que puede uno leer sobre acontecimientos histГіricos, en el que se presentan los hechos de una manera mГЎs objetiva, este libro fue especialmente perturbador o conmovedor (no se como describirlo mejor) no solo por lo impactante de cada una de las historias y tragedias humanas que se cuentan, sino porque se narran en un lenguaje simple y honesto incluso citando de primera mano a las personas que ayudan con su testimonio; eso sin contar que ademas, todo eso paso en la ciudad que ahora vivo, en esas calles que ya me son tan familiares y en una Г©poca de mi paГ­s en la que yo ya habГ­a nacido.PodrГ­a decir que todo el tiempo mi sentimiento mientras leГ­a el libro se movГ­a entre las ganas de llorar y la indignaciГіn. Ganas de llorar por descubrir las tragedias personales, la capacidad de lucha de las victimas, el coraje por salir adelante, las perdidas irreparables, la solidaridad incondicional de la gente que ayudo arriesgando la propia vida o la que trabajo por horas y meses organizados para ayudar a los afectados dejando atrГЎs todo. IndignaciГіn por las omisiones, las injusticias, el saqueo, la deshumanizaciГіn, la corrupciГіn no solo del gobierno o sus responsables sino de muchГ­simas personas mГЎs que solo vieron en esta tragedia la manera de salir ganando un beneficio econГіmico o que simplemente era como aves de rapiГ±a volando sobre los escombros. Es impactante y es muy poco probable que las historias que se cuentan no te conmuevan y te pongan a pensar, a pesar de las muchas cosas que me parecieron indignantes o aberrantes, hay muchas otras que me dejan sin palabras y me devolvieron un poco la fe en la humanidad; los miles de jГіvenes que se lanzaron a la calle para apoyar sin pensarlo dos veces, el espГ­ritu de lucha que caracterizГі a muchos mexicanos y que saliГі a flote, la generosidad de quien solo ayuda por ayudar. Por supuesto que hay un sin fin de problemas sociales como paГ­s que salen a relucir en el libro y que de los cuales la mayoria de ellos (sino es que todos) siguen siendo problemas actuales que siguen sin tener una soluciГіn clara a futuro. Me queda claro que hoy, de la misma manera como paso hace 30 aГ±os, mientras los que quieren un cambio sean mayorГ­a y no tengamos miedo a actuar ni a hacer las cosas como se deben y a exigir a un gobierno que haga lo que le corresponde hacer, podemos generar pequeГ±os cambios que a la larga generen un cambio mayor y sustancial.Este libro es un tributo no solo a los muertos sino tambiГ©n a los vivos que no paran de luchar. MГ©xico es mi paГ­s y lo amo a pesar de todo, como bien queda resumido en una frase en el libro: Nunca me voy a ir. JamГЎs quisiera salir de este paГ­s.
