This short-lived Blade series concludes here with an interesting story that fleshes out some of Blades past, which is generally not all that well covered. I did find it a bit odd that he was missing a hand here, and that just didnt stay with him in later appearances, though I have yet to see anywhere that it was ever explained. I expected it to perhaps just grow back during this volume, but it never did. Im not sure exactly where this fits in with some other comics I have read, other than that the previous volume was contemporary with the Civil War storyline, but perhaps this volume preceded the resurgence of vampire characters in the X-Men, in particular. It would make sense, anyway. Just the same, this was a fairly interesting volume, overall.
